Grooms Speeches Examples – Are They A Waste Of Time?

They are full blown blown groom speeches that you can use either as they are or you can make changes to them as you deem fit.

This article is to highlight my experience using these groom speeches examples.

What I have on hand is a note that is filled with the topics that I want to share with the wedding guests in my wedding speech.  what I need to do next is to find a format to put them all in.

I came across a number of groom speeches examples that look cool and after shortlisting a few them, decided to use one as the “base” groom speech.  Then looking through my list, I started inserting my topics into this base.

It was not easy.  I felt as if I was trying to put in square pegs into round holes. I did manage to finish the exercise. What I did next was to read it aloud and boy! Was I dissappointed! This groom speech sounded foreign, impersonal and rigid.  It did not sound as if I was the one who have written it.
I decided then that it was not the way I wanted to prepare this important speech. So, I ditched it.

Conclusion

Grooms Speeches Examples do not work for me. I find them too rigid and impersonal.  I felt that I need to share this with you so that you need not “waste time” looking for such examples on the net.  But again, it may work for some.  For me, these examples are well, JUST examples. It did give me some ideas on how I should structure my groom speech or add in some topics that I may have forgotten about.

I did find something more practical and flexible which became my base of my groom speech. So, if you are in the midst of preparing your grooms speeches, you may be interested to find out what worked for me.
